SICHUAN PEPPER

 Our Sichuan pepper is a special variety called Gongjiao, or 'tribute pepper', so  prized it was once given as a tribute to the emperor, and is still hand harvested
in the mountains of Sichuan every August.

CHILIES

Our blend of chilies from Sichuan and Guizhou each have a different heat level, but are all renowned for intense fragrance and beautiful complementary notes that hit you as soon as you open the bottle.

RAPESEED OIL

Our cold-pressed rapeseed oil is 100% organic and widely used in Sichuan cuisine for its nutty flavor and impressive health benefits, being high in Vitamin E and Omega-3
and 6 fatty acids.

I started Fly By Jing to bring the flavors of Sichuan to the world. My inspiration was ‘fly restaurants’, the soul food of Sichuan, old school hole in the walls that are old and run-down, but so delicious they still attract people like flies.

Jenny Gao - Founder

I’ve been exploring Chinese food as a writer and cook for the past ten years. I’ve created an award-winning restaurant in Shanghai, cooked pop up dinners all over the world, and been a guide to visiting chefs like Andrew Zimmern, Ken Hom, Eddie Huang, and Emeril.

I want to show that Sichuan flavors are so much more nuanced and complex than the numbing spice that it’s become famous for, and that “Made in China” can mean the highest quality products made with all natural ingredients without artificial preservatives or flavor shortcuts like MSG.
